Dubai-The city of ultramodern architectureSpirit Bohemian
A city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates known for luxury shopping, ultramodern architecture and a lively nightlife scene. Yes it’s Dubai. The mind blowing Burj Khalifa, an 830m-tall tower, dominates the skyscraper-filled skyline. At its foot lies Dubai Fountain, with jets and lights choreographed to music. On artificial islands just offshore is Atlantis, The Palm, a resort with water and marine-animal parks. Dubai is one of the cities with marvellous architecture.
A family trip with my parents and all my cousins to Dubai was superb. A new experience of living in an apartment rather than a hotel was our perfect decision.
First Day we reached at our apartment during afternoon. Late evening was our visit to Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain. The Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest musical fountain and the city’s most popular free tourist attraction. It is set on the Burj Khalifa Lake, between the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa.
Second day was our visit to the most beautiful garden ever Dubai Miracle Garden. This garden was launched on Valentines Day 2013. And rest of the day was spend on shopping at the largest mall of the world The Mall of Emirates and our visit to Ski Dubai. After a not so tiring day the third day visit was to Abu Dhabi-The Capital of United Arab Emirates. Ferrari World-A destination for car lovers and also with the fastest roller coaster was superb! It is the first and only Ferrari branded amusement park. Late evening was our visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which is considered to be the key site for worship in the country. The design of the mosque can be best described as a fusion of Arab, Persian, Mughal and Moorish architecture. The lightening of the mosque during late evening was very pleasing to the eyes.
The second last day was our visit to the aqua venture water park which is set within the grounds of the incredible Atlantis-The Palm Resort. It’s was the best day to beat the scorching heat of the city with sun soaked fun. The water park not only included world’s best water rides but also an access to a private beach to relax ourself. One of my favourite was the longest water slide named The Leap of Faith which was a 9 story tall slide which rushes us down in a mere second, and you will find yourself speeding through a clear acrylic tube surrounded by numerous sharks. The best experience ever!
And now it was our last day in Dubai and how could we miss out on the most famous destination of Dubai-The Desert Safari. We departed from our apartment in the afternoon from where we went directly across the desert of Dubai with certain photo stops during an exciting dune drive. The drive continued across the desert. We stop to watch the beautiful sunset before reaching our campsite where we had the opportunity to do a camel ride, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hand or feet. And Before returning we watched the belly dancer performance around the campfire by starlight. This was an experience which cannot be experienced anywhere else.
